On the third season of the Making the Band, Bad Boy founder, P. Diddy, set out to find the next female supergroup. With the creation of Danity Kane, he succeeded and then some. Aubrey, Aundrea, Shannon, Dawn, and D. Woods were the last women standing and have already made their mark on the music world.
Their self- titled debut album hit stores in August 2006 and promptly knocked veteran Christina Aguilera out of the top spot on the Billboard Album Chart, debuted above Outkast, and scanned over 234,000 albums in the first week. Fueled by singles, "Show Stopper" and "Ride For You", the album was certified platinum three months later and the rest is history.
Danity Kane will return with their sophomore album this spring, after one more season of Making the Band where they will join the boys of Making the Band 4. Let the games begin!
